World Leaders React to the Death of Fidel Castro

    Reaction from world leaders following the death of Cuban leader Fidel Castro.

    FOX’s Simon Owen reports from London:

    In Beijing, the Chinese government extending its condolences, and saying the friendship between China and Cuba will continue.

    Russian President Vladimir Putin also offering a warm tribute, calling Castro a sincere and reliable friend and there was a personal telegram from Pope Francis to Castro’s brother Raul.

    Among Western leaders, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau more positive than most, fondly remembering a family friend, without mentioning Castro’s human rights record.

    In Europe, French President Francois Hollande saying Castro embodies Cuba’s revolution in both its hopes and its later disappointments.
