Dave Matthews Takes a Stand at Standing Rock Concert

Some big name musicians held a concert last night (Sun) to benefit Dakota Access Pipeline protesters.

FOX’s Carmen Roberts reports:

Dave Matthews headlined the sold-out concert “Stand with Standing Rock”:

(Matthews) “Well I will bring you water.”

On stage in Washington D.C. and live on streaming video. Matthews called the cause to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline “righteous”:

(Matthews) “And they are standing up saying this is our clean water, this is our land, these are our sacred places and you can’t just dig them up to fill your pockets.”

Legendary singer-songwriter Graham Nash and other musicians also lent their voices to the benefit.

Promoters say the concert’s net proceeds will go to support the Standing Rock Sioux. They’re also asking people to donate online.
