Report: Secret Service Trying to Set Up Shop in Trump Tower

A published report says the Secret Service is trying to rent two floors in one of the most expensive properties in New York City.

    FOX’s Gary Baumgarten reports:

It’s all in the name of security for our future first family. The New York Post quoting law enforcement sources, reporting that the Secret Service is in talks with Trump Tower to lease two floors of the 58-story building on Manhattan’s Tony Fifth Avenue.

The Secret Service and the NYPD plan to run a 24/7 command post out of the space. The sources say several commercial floors are vacant. And that the Secret Service wants to use two of them for more than 250 agents and cops.

Based on the current rates in the building, that could set taxpayers back more than $3 million a year.
