A note from teenage diarist Anne Frank sold for a six-figure sum at auction.

FOX's Simon Owen reports from the European bureau:

A rare handwritten poem signed by Anne Frank selling for just under a $150,000 at an auction house in the Netherlands.

(Sanders) "It really hit me quite emotionally when this little piece of paper was held up."

That's Marten Sanders, his mother put the item up for sale. She was friends with Anne Frank. But he says he has mixed feeling about the high price:

(Sanders) "Of course there was an expectation that there was a value to this, but my mother is not really selling it for that purpose."

The sale seen as demonstrating the enduring appeal of the teenage Jewish diarist who was killed by the Nazis.
