House Republicans are showing a united front, one week after the election of President-elect Donald Trump.

FOX's Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

Speaker Paul Ryan was unanimously nominated to serve a full-term at the top post in the House aweek after the election of President-elect Donald Trump, the GOP House is showing a united front:

(Speaker Ryan) "Welcome to the dawn of a new, unified Republican government."

Ryan still must win a vote on the House floor in January. Democrats, on the other hand, are regrouping:

(Kaptur) "This is a moment for us to listen to the American people and dod what they've asked."

Ohio Democrat Marci Kaptur won't fully commit to supporting minority leader Nancy Pelosi. Democrats have pushed their leadership votes until after Thanksgiving.
