Putin: Want to Focus on Restoring Full Relations with the United States
World leaders are reacting to President-Elect Donald Trump’s victory.
FOX’s Simon Owen reports:
A warm reaction from Russian President Vladimir Putin… He says he wants Russia to restore full relations with the United States.
But in Germany, Chancellor Angela Merkel sounding a little more wary… Saying she offers close cooperation to Trump on the basis of shared German and American values on things like treating everyone equally.
The head of NATO also offering congratulations and urging the President-Elect to stick with that military alliance:
(Jens Stoltenberg) “A strong NATO is important for Europe, but it’s also important for the United States.”
Trump has previously questioned America’s position within NATO.
