Woman Missing Since August Found ‘Chained Up Like a Dog’

A South Carolina woman missing since August has been found alive.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has more on the story:

Kala Brown is free after being found alive, chained by her neck in a metal storage container in Woodruff, South Carolina, about 50 miles away from her home.

Tax records list the owner of that property as Todd Kohlhepp, who is reportedly a convicted kidnapper and sex offender. He’s been arrested.

Spartanburg county sheriff Chuck Wright says Brown was chained up “like a dog” and her kidnapper had fed her inside the container.

Brown and her boyfriend, Charlie Carver, had been together for several months before they disappeared in late August.

Brown worked for Kohlhepp, who is a real estate agent. Carver’s whereabouts are not known, but Sheriff says there may be as many as four bodies on the property.
