Recently, Las Vegas was filled with song as women's show choirs came from around the world to compete for the title of best of the best.

FOX's Tonya J. Powers caught up with some of them:

When the Sweet Adelines get together, everything just sounds, well, more harmonious.

It's a worldwide organization that's part singing, part show and part sisterhood and held its 70th international competition this month in Las Vegas.

Amanda, who sings with Vocal Dimension, from Great Britain, explains:

(Amanda) "It's barbershop, it's unaccompanied four-part harmony."

The whole deal:

(Amanda) "Costumes, hair, makeup, on top of all the singing."

Kathleen and Sandy are with Buffalo Gateway Chorus, that's them you hear singing:

(Kathleen) "After you sing music after a whole long day, it puts you in a really good mood."

(Sandy) "It makes you a better person."

This year's international winner? The Rönninge Show Chorus from Sweden.
