NFL Coach Suddenly Resigns

Sudden, shocking… That’s what they’re calling the surprise resignation of Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner.

FOX’s Chris Hoenig reports:

Minnesota started (5-0) this season. They were the last undefeated team in the NFL, but Monday night’s loss to the Bears was the Vikings’ second straight, scoring just 10 points in each of those games.

Still, offensive coordinator Norv Turner’s decision to resign was unexpected around the team’s practice facility, and left coach Mike Zimmer clearly emotional:

(Zimmer) “Norv is a very, very good friend of mine. He has helped me tremendously in the three years that I’ve been here.”

Turner, in a statement, says he has tremendous respect for Zimmer, but this is in the best interest of the team.
