Judge Orders Release of Pulse Nightclub Shooter Phone Conversations

A judge has ordered the release of recorded conversations between a police negotiator and the man who opened fire inside an Orlando night club in June.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has more:

    His words are chilling:

(Mateen) “I want to let you know I’m in Orlando and I did the shooting.”

That’s Omar Mateen, the man who killed 49 and hurt dozens more in the Pulse Nightclub shooting in June, talking with police before dying in a shootout:

(Mateen) “In the next few days, you’re going to see more of this type of action going on, ok?”

(Police) “Okay. I understand that. I can pass that along. Where is that going to happen?”

    (Mateen) “None of your business.”

News groups have been fighting the city over the release of more than 600 calls from the shooting.

The judge made Mateen’s calls public, but won’t rule on releasing the other 911 calls from the shooting until she has listened to them.
