Be Careful While Driving in Florida

The most dangerous interstate in America is in Florida.

    FOX’s Gary Baumgarten reports:

Data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration places I-4 which stretches from Tampa across Florida to Daytona Beach, the deadliest in the United States.

But don’t blame Floridians for the dubious honor, blame the tourist:

(Victor) “What’s the first thing they do when they get off the plane? They rent a car that they’re not familiar with. And they’re trying to find locations they’re not familiar with and they are on their GPS. So they are looking the phone and the GPS, which of course is a distraction.”

That’s Glenn Victor of the Florida Safety Council. The stats find that I-4 has get this, 1.4 fatalities per mile in six years.

I-45 in Texas and I-17 in Arizona rank the second and third most dangerous interstates in America.
