Sting Set to Release New Album “57th and 9th”
Sting receiving another award for his music.
FOX’s Jacquelyn Karl reports:
Sting receiving the “Award of Merit” at the American Music Awards during the November 20 ceremony in L.A. where he’ll be performing a number of his hits.
Sting also has a new album coming out November 11 called “57th and 9th”:
(Sting) “There are many different styles in this record, it’s a lot of rock and roll, but if there is a lyrical theme that runs through, it’s about searching.”
The AMA’s are a fan-voted awards show unlike the Grammys. As for Grammys, Sting’s got 16 awards, combining his solo career and awards he’s won with The Police. “Song of The Year” for “Every Breath You Take”, awarded solely to Sting because he both composed and wrote the lyrics.
