Bourbon Continues to Flow… Jim Beam Strike is Over

A nearly week-long strike at Jim Beam distilleries in Kentucky are over.

    FOX’s Jeff Monosso reports:

Union members who’d been picketing since last Saturday, are back to work today at Jim Beams’ Clarmont and Boston Kentucky distilleries, voting overwhelmingly to pass the company’s third contract proposal in three weeks, saying that key demands on pay and on hiring more full-time staff have been met.

Employees had requested less overtime and and more full-time hires after complaining of working 60-to-80 hour weeks just to keep up with increased demand at the world’s top bourbon producer.

The company releasing a statement saying the outcome is good for everyone.
