Candidates Trade Zingers at Alfred Smith Memorial Dinner

A charity fundraiser brought out the zingers from both presidential candidates last night in New York City.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has more:

The Alfred Smith Memorial Foundation dinner is a charity event meant to raise money for impoverished children in New York, usually a time when campaign hostilities are set aside.

But last night’s event was more like a celebrity roast.

Donald Trump aimed at Hillary Clinton:

(Trump) “Here she is tonight in public, pretending not to hate Catholics.”

And she returned the favor:

(Clinton) “Donald looks at the Statue of Liberty and sees a four, maybe a five, if she loses the torch and tablet and changes her hair.”

It’s expected to be the last time the two share a stage before the election.
