Rock and Roll Pioneer Chuck Berry Turns 90, Announces New Album ‘Chuck’

Chuck Berry celebrates his 90th birthday with a present to his loyal fans.

Chuck Berry, the 90-year-old Rock ‘n’ Roll legend is about to release his first new studio album in more than 35 years:

(Berry) “Go Johnny, go!”

The “St. Louis Post-Dispatch” reporting Berry’s album titled “Chuck” dropping in 2017 and featuring mostly original work by Berry.

A bassist in Berry’s long time band, Jimmy Marsala, suggesting the new album took so long because Berry wanted to make sure it lived up to everyone’s expectations.

His last studio album was “Rock It” in 1979. Spokesman Joe Edwards saying the new album’s a gift to his fans, adding Berry’s likely retired from touring, but anything can happen.
