High School Graduation Rates are Up

    The White House has announced a record high rate of high school students earning diplomas.

    FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Washington:

    More than 83 percent of high school seniors graduated in the 2014/2015 school year, an increase highlighted by improvements across all ethnic groups.

    President Obama noting greater access to high-speed internet in classrooms and state and federal grants helping hundreds of thousands of children attend preschool programs.

    Overall, the White House says the graduation rate has improved four percent since 2010. The biggest improvement year-to-year was here in Washington where the graduation rate is up seven percent.
