Bob Dylan Wins Nobel Prize in Literature

The Nobel Prize in Literature goes to a musical pioneer.

FOX’s Simon Owen reports from the European bureau:

The Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to Bob Dylan:

(Dylan) “The answer my friend is blowin’ in the wind.”

It’s the first time the prize has been awarded to a musician.

The Swedish Academy recognizing Dylan:

(Danius) “For having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.”

The Academy’s Sara Danius saying Dylan writes poetry for the ear.
