Samsung Discontinues Production of Galaxy Note 7’s

Samsung is stopping production of one of its newest smartphones in the wake of new problems.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has more:

A warning if you have a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, the company is stopping production of them permanently because of safety issues.

It comes a day after Samsung ceased global sales of the devices and follows reports of the popular phone catching fire.

The Note 7 was initially recalled for a manufacturing defect in the batteries, and shipped replacements it said were safer, but there were reports of some of *those* catching fire.

Samsung says it will either give customers a full refund at the original price, or replace the Note 7 with any other model of Samsung phone and give refunds in the difference in prices, along with a $45 voucher.
