Presidential Candidates Continue to Spar Over Police Shootings

Recent police-involved shootings have become an issue on the campaign trail, with Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton weighing in.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Trump is calling for law and order and unity. He also told FOX News he would use “stop and frisk” to curb crime in inner cities like Chicago:

(Trump) ”You know the local police, they know who has a gun and who shouldn’t have a gun, they understand that.”

A federal court ruled the tactic unconstitutional. Democrat Hillary Clinton says she doesn’t have all the answers, but:

(Clinton) ”This is is certain. Too many people have lost their lives who shouldn’t have.”

Clinton called shootings like those in Oklahoma and North Carolina are unbearable and should be intolerable.
