Dem’s Supreme Court Pick Merrick Garland Back on Capitol Hill

With no sign of a confirmation hearing or vote anytime soon, President Obama’s Supreme Court pick is back on Capitol Hill.

    FOX’s Jared Halpern reports:

Judge Merrick Garland met with the top two Senate Democrats, six months after first being nominated to fill a Supreme Court vacancy. Democratic Leader Harry Reid describing this most recent sit-down as difficult:

(Reid) “Because this good man should be on the Supreme Court right now.”

Senate Republicans have held firm to hold off on filling the vacancy until a new President can make a nomination.

Illinois Democrat Dick Durbin says he’d recommend Democrat Hillary Clinton consider renominating Garland if she wins.
