Bill O’Reilly On Which Of The 5 Living U.S. Presidents Would Have Dropped The A-Bomb On Japan
Bill O’Reilly, host of the O’Reilly Factor, joined Kilmeade & Friends to discuss his latest book, “Killing The Rising Sun: How America Vanquished World War II Japan.” O’Reilly explained the historical importance and controversy that came with the decision to drop two atomic bombs on Japan at the end of World War II. O’Reilly spoke about some of the interesting facts he learned while researching the book, including, General Dwight Eisenhower telling President Harry Truman not to drop the bomb. O’Reilly also discussed the letter he sent five living U.S. Presidents (Carter, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama) asking them if they would have dropped the atomic bombs on Japan if they were president during WWII. Three of them responded (Carter, Bush & Bush), and their letters are in the book!
