An accused bank robber is in jail in Kansas and that's where he wants to be.
FOX's Dave Anthony reports:
"I have a gun, give me money", read the note a bank robber handed the teller Friday in Kansas City, Kansas. Then he took the cash and took a seat right in the bank's lobby, telling the guard, "I'm the guy you're looking for."
That's what police say about Lawrence John Ripple, who was charged with bank robbery on Tuesday. An FBI agent wrote in court documents the 70-year-old wanted to be arrested, that he had an argument at home, and then told his wife he'd rather be in jail than live with her anymore.
And Ripple wrote the bank holdup note right in front of her.
