Trump Gets the Thumbs Up from Military Leaders in an Open Letter

A group of retired US military leaders wants Republican Donald Trump to be the nation’s next President.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

An open letter, signed by 88 retired general and admirals, says the United States needs an urgent “course correction” in national security.

The leaders believe Trump should be Commander-in-Chief because he’s someone who “has not been deeply involved with, and substantially responsible for, the hollowing out of our military and the burgeoning threats facing our country around the world”.

Last month, dozens of Republican national security leaders released a letter, warning that a Trump Presidency would threaten the nation’s national security and well-being.
