Law enforcement across the country is on high alert, leading up the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

FOX's Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

The Department of Homeland Security has issued an intelligence notification to state and local police, warning of potential terror attacks inspired or directed by ISIS focused on events associated with 9/11 commemorations.

The intelligence analysis stresses there is no specific credible information of any plot, but does warn terrorists demonstrated desire to conduct attacks. ISIS repeatedly called for attacks targeting the U.S. and allies.

As a result, major U.S. cities will see a robust presence of law enforcement at landmarks, transit hubs and other highly populated areas.
