Top Selling Video Game ‘Overwatch’ Hints at New Character

One of the top selling games of the year so far is teasing fans with a mysterious new character, but isn’t making it easy and an old game gets a fan funded sequel to be published by a cartoon company.

FOX’s Eammonn Dignam explains in the latest “FOX Bits”:

Your insiders cheat code to gaming, I’m Eammonn Dignam.

‘Overwatch’ maker Blizzard has been dropping hints to a new character named Sombra for months both in game:

(Overwatch) “Where’s Sombra when you need her?”

And in something called an ARG or Alternate Reality Game, media outside of the game offering clues to the characters personality and backstory as a hacker. The ARG is often very complicated, requiring ciphers to figure out codes, but if you are like me, you can wait a couple of hours until the internet figures it out.

‘Toejam and Earl’ is getting a new sequel subtitled “Back in the Groove”. Series creator Greg Johnson took to Kickstarter to make  the next rendition of the 90’s oddball game about two hip hop aliens who crash on Earth and are forced to find the pieces of their ship:

(Toejam and Earl) “My name is Toejam and I’m Big Earl.”

Dodging moles, crazy humans and even running into the Boogey Man. Adult Swim Games will publish the fan funded game.
