A senior aide to Donald Trump's presidential campaign is out of a job.

FOX's Jared Halpern has more from Washington:

Days after the Trump campaign announced an expansion, bringing in a new campaign manager and chief executive campaign chairman Paul Manafort has resigned.

In a statement, Donald Trump says he's very appreciative for his great work in helping the campaign get to where it is today.

The new hires this week were viewed as a demotion for Manafort, plus he has come under scrutiny after reports surfaces his firm helped a covert lobbying operation on behalf of Ukraine's pro-Russia political party.
