You May See Another Cheney in Office
There’s a chance you’ll see another Cheney in the nation’s Capitol.
FOX’s Rich Denison reports:
Liz Cheney is a step closer to winning Wyoming’s lone congressional seat, which her father, former vice president Dick Cheney held four decades ago.
She handily defeated seven other Republicans in Tuesday’s state primary, looking to take over the seat held by congresswoman Cynthia Lummis, who’s not seeking re-election.
Her campaign focused on President Obama’s national security and energy policies, promising to work for the state’s struggling coal industry.
The state leans strongly Republican, increasing Cheney’s chances in November. She’ll face Democrat Ryan Greene in the general election.
