A suspect is in custody in the murder of two influential Muslims in New York City.

FOX's Tonya J. Powers has more:

Oscar Morel is charged with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the deaths of an Imam and his friend near a Queens mosque on Saturday.

NYPD officials say Morel was seen on surveillance video leaving the area of the shooting. The school janitor was arrested outside a Brooklyn apartment after he rammed an unmarked police car trying to block him in.

No motive has been released, but authorities say the possibility it was a hate crime is "still on the table".
