Donald Trump isn't ready to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan, but the Republican running mate is ready.

FOX's Jared Halpern has more from Washington:

A day after Donald Trump told the Washington Post he isn't quite there yet on offering an endorsement to House Speaker Paul Ryan ahead of the congressman's GOP primary next week, Trump's VP pick, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, tells Fox News:

(Pence) I'm strongly support Paul Ryan. Strongly endorse his reelection. He's a long-time friend, he's a strong conservative leader, I believe we need Paul Ryan.

Pence, a former House colleague of Ryan's says in politics relationships can take time.

Pence also rejects reports Trump aides and supporters are planning an intervention in hopes of resetting the Trump campaign.
