Russia is denying claims its behind the cyber attack that led to the resignation of DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

FOX's Simon Owen reports from the European bureau:

Russia rejecting Hillary Clinton's suggestion that it hacked the Democratic Party's emails. President Vladimir Putin's spokesman calling the allegations: absurd pre-election rhetoric.

Dmitry Peskov telling reporters it is wrong to accuse Russia of wrongdoing when the facts aren't known. Russia's theory: the spokesman saying the Americans are attempting to cover up the fact that their election campaign has been manipulated at home.

It's been suggested Russia would welcome a Donald Trump victory in November. But officially the country is neutral.
