Miss Teen USA’s Tweets Come Back to Haunt Her
Miss Teen USA is under fire for a tweet from the past.

“Miss U.S.A. 2016 is Texas!”
Well hours after being crowned online at MissTeenUSA.com, the new Miss Teen USA Karlie Hay is apologizing for making racist comments on Twitter.
People on social media calling attention to Twitter posts Hay wrote in 2013 and 2014 that include curse words and racial slurs. The Texas teen has acknowledged the controversy, writing, “I admit that I have used language publicly in the past which I am not proud of and that there is no excuse for.”
Hay also saying that she is a better person today. The Miss Universe organization called the language she used “unacceptable”, but says she will be allowed to keep her crown.
