Flour Recall Expanded

    General Mills expands a flour recall over a possible link to an E. coli outbreak.

    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports four new illnesses possibly linked to an E. coli outbreak that’s sickened 46 people in 21 states.

    Consumers who may have consumed or handled uncooked dough or ate uncooked batter made with varieties of Gold Medal and Signature Kitchens flour and produced on certain dates through February 10 at a General Mills plant in Kansas City, Missouri.

    The company points out that no illnesses have been connected with flour that has been properly baked, cooked or handled.
