A sad day in the National Football League as they say goodbye to a beloved coach.

FOX's Jared Max reports:

Dennis Green, who led the Minnesota Vikings to eight playoff seasons between 1992 and 2001 died today after a cardiac arrest. He was only 67-years-old.

13 NFL seasons a head coach following stints at Stanford and Northwestern, Green spent 10 years with the Minnesota Vikings and three more as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, whose former quarterback Kurt Warner today tweeted, "We lost a good man way to soon."

Former Vikings running back Robert Smith, now a college football analyst for FOX Sports played for Denny Green, he tweeted, "I lost my mother in April. I feel like I just lost my father."
