Soldier Responsible for Wikileaks Attempts Suicide
A transgender solider imprisoned in Kansas for selling secrets to Wikileaks attempted suicide.
FOX’s Jeff Monosso reports:
Attorneys for Chelsea Manning are not disclosing details, but say that she’s been hospitalized due to an attempted suicide July 5th in her cell at Fort Leavenworth, where the former army soldier is serving a 35 year prison sentence after being convicted of espionage and other offenses, for disclosing 3 quarters of a million classified and sensitive military and government documents to Wikileaks.
Manning’s attorneys are also critical, accusing the government of a gross breach in confidentiality in disclosing Manning’s health information. She remains under close supervision for several weeks.
