Sweet Home Chicago for one NBA Star

First, it was Thunder fans burning Kevin Durant jerseys after he decided to sign with the Golden State Warriors, now Miami Heat fans are doing the same after one of their stars bolts for another team.

FOX’s Chris Hoenig reports:

Dwyane Wade agreeing to a two-year, $47 million contract with his hometown Chicago Bulls. Miami fans taking to social media to show their displeasure…

(Fan) “Gimmie the jersey, gimmie the jersey, we don’t need that no more.”

Wade writing a letter to the city explaining his move, saying that watching the Bulls growing up inspired him to pursue his dream of becoming a basketball player, adding that he looks back with pride and amazement at the three titles he won in Miami.

Bulls General Manager, Gar Forman told reporters after the team traded Derrick Rose to the Knicks two weeks ago that he still viewed this off season as a retooling, not a complete rebuild:

(Forman) “Obviously we need to start changing the roster, that’s our job to listen, to know what the market is, to evaluate what’s out there, to see where there’s opportunities to get better.”
