Dip the World in Chocolate

As if you needed an excuse to have some. One of the most popular foods in the world celebrated.

    FOX’s Lilian Woo reports:

(Kid) “Chocolate’s the best thing in the world and it sweetens your day up.”

So it make sense there’s a World Chocolate Day. A fine time to get a chocolate portrait done, that’s one offering at Max Brenner in New York City, where customers can indulge in chocolate pizza or pasta, really ribbons of dark chocolate crepe:

(Sun) “We mix that in with more chocolate, and then we shave white chocolate on top of it, serve it with a flask of chocolate on the side.”

Jay Sun, director of Food and Beverage there. For the unconventional, there’s the curry with saffron flavored chocolate or shiitake mushroom truffles from chocolatier Gail Ambrosius in Madison, Wisconsin.

But even the lowly supermarket shelf can hold some unique chocolate finds. In Japan, Kit Kats come in green tea and pancake flavors.
