Security is heightened at most of the airports across the U.S. as a big holiday travel weekend approaches.

FOX's Jeff Monosso has more from O'Hare International Airport:

There are increased security postures here at O'Hare and other airports and transit hubs across the U.S. as we've seen visible patrols, tactical teams and canine units in the wake of recent terror attacks.

And as we begin one of the busiest travel weekends of the year:

(Woman) "It gets everybody nervous, but I think it brings security and safety all together. There's lots of things happening all over the world, you can't be discouraged."

These travelers like the 43 million others expected across the country this weekend, getting an early start on their trips to avoid the long lines, though smooth sailing through TSA right now at O'Hare.
