Weapons Bust at Tunnel into NYC
A boatload of weapons and combat gear heading into New York City Tuesday morning was intercepted before it reached the city.
FOX’s Gurnal Scott has the story:
Police arrested Dean Smith, John Cramsey and Kimberly Arendt, all of Pennsylvania, for trying to take the guns, rifles, ammo and tactical gear through the Holland Tunnel.
New York-New Jersey Port Authority Police Superintendent Michael Fedorko said they have an observant officer to thank for the bust:
(Fedorko) ”Here’s a situation where you have a cracked windshield on a car. The police officer pulls the car over and sees a loaded magazine on the floor of the car and that’s probably cause and that starts the whole investigation.”
Fedorko says right now there is no connection to terrorism.
