Don’t Break the Bank on Wedding Gifts

Weddings are getting more and more expensive these days, for both the bride and groom and the guests.

FOX’s Ashley Papa has a special Wedding edition of “FOX on Love”:

We know how expensive weddings are, even for the wedding guests!

If your schedule of wedding ceremonies this summer has you seeing dollar signs, perhaps it’s time to think outside the “gift box” this year.

Kristen Rocco, founder of Love Notery, says cash may be king, but guests have options:

(Rocco) “When in doubt go to the registry you can’t make a wrong move there. If you want to think outside the box give a gift that is appropriate for your budget of course, but sentimental keepsakes are appreciated. That can be framing their wedding invitation or giving them the gift of their love story.”

Another option, honeymoon registries. If you settle for a monetary gift and are torn on how much to give, Rocco says absolutely stay within your budget:

(Rocco) “It really just depends on your relationship in term of how much you typically spend on a wedding gift for the bride and the groom, but anything you can afford is totally acceptable.”

Stay away from monogrammed gifts, as they make it hard for couples to return.
