A woman setting up boxes for unwanted babies says she's pressing on, despite a warning.
FOX's Chris Foster has the details:
Monica Kelsey is the founder of Safe Haven Baby Boxes. She's installed two of them in Northern Indiana, for people to leave babies they don't want as a last resort. No one's done it yet.
Callers to a hotline have said they were considering it, with five babies left safely at other places instead, like a firehouse in Napoleon, Indiana on Monday.
The Indiana Department of Child Services has notified the towns with the boxes, children left in them would be treated as abandoned.
Monica Kelsey says she's setting up a legal defense fund for anyone using the boxes, who is charged with child abandonment.
