Clinton and Sanders Discuss Defeating Trump
Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders met for a long time last night after the DC primary.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
Clinton clobbered Bernie Sanders in the D.C. Democratic primary, winning 79 percent of the vote. Later, the two sat down for a meeting to discuss unifying the party and defeating Republican Donald Trump.
Sanders has said he wants to take his issues to the Democratic National Convention and as voters went to the polls here in Washington, he showed no signs of ending his campaign:
(Sanders) “It is standing up for working people. It is fighting for a progressive agenda.”
Sanders says he’ll tell supporters his next steps tomorrow via a live, online video.
