Vietnam Veteran Finally Graduates High School

A Vietnam veteran finally graduates high school.

    FOX’s Gary Baumgarten reports:

69 -year-old Larry Crotts was supposed to graduate from the Berkley Michigan High School with the class of ’66, but he was otherwise engaged, having joined the Navy to fight in the Vietnam War.

When he got out of the service, he got his GED, but that wasn’t good enough for his mother:

(Crotts) “I called her and I says, ‘Mom I’ve got my GED’, she said that’s not a diploma.”

He promised his mother he’d graduate high school. So called Berkely High School. They made him hit the books in order to qualify. And finally, walk across the stage, tear in his eye, to at long last get his diploma.
