A Texas drunk driver gets a sobering punishment.

FOX's Dave Anthony reports:

Donald Middleton won't be a menace on the roads anymore. His ninth drunk driving conviction was too much for a judge in Montgomery County, Texas, who called him a habitual offender and sentenced Middleton to life in prison.

The last straw came in May of last year when Middleton drove into another car, then ran away from the wreck into a convenience store and begged clerks not to turn him in.

Middleton had already been put behind bars four other times. In February of last year, another Houston man got life behind bars after his tenth drunk driving conviction.

And this past January, a man in Parker County got a life sentence for his tenth DWI.
