RNC Launches New Website, Asks for Input on Party Platform

Republicans are asking for input from the public on the party’s platform that will be written at the National Convention next month.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus says Republicans can go to Platform.Gov to offer their opinions on the content of the platform. Visitors to the site are greeted with a video message from Priebus:

(Priebus) “We believe in listening to the voice of every American.”

Users can scroll through a list of issues and rate them by importance, and leave their opinions in comment boxes. Every four years, leaders from political parties wrangle over what will go in platform documents, which lay out what the group stands for.
