Sprint Cup Series Heads to Pocono Raceway
NASCAR heads North to Pocono Raceway for the Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 this Sunday:
FOX’s Chris Hoenig presents “FOX in the Fastlane”:
With a win at the Coca Cola 600 and a place in the Chase now secured, Martin Truex Jr. heads to Pocono this weekend feeling great:
(Truex Jr.) “This is definitely the best position I have ever been in, in my Sprint Cup career by far, by a long shot.”
Truex says his one-car team has the ability to be as successful as some of the bigger organizations:
(Truex Jr.) “You know, I just feel like this is one of those dream teams that if you could stay together for five or six or seven years you could start doing stuff like Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus did. Those are our goals. We want to win championships, we want to win races, we want to win every single week.”
Truex now seventh in the points standings.
Three drivers will be without their crew chiefs this weekend…
Greg Biffle crew chief Brian Pattie has been suspended and fined for unapproved body modifications, while Tony Gibson – Kurt Busch’s crew chief – and Randall Burnett, who leads A..J. Allmendinger’s crew, are both suspended for lug nut violations.
And Chevy unveiling a Dale Earnhardt Jr. signature pick-up… It’s a tricked-out 1500 crew cab special edition.
