Want to Attend the Indianapolis 500? It’ll Cost You!

This weekend’s Indy 500 is sold out… If you still hope to get it, it will cost you some serious dough.

FOX’s Chris Hoenig reports:

350 to 375,000 people are expected to attend Sunday’s 100th running of the Indy 500.

General admission tickets with a $40 face value are now going for $140 or more online. Reserved seats range anywhere between $160 to more than a $1,000. Penthouse tickets? Try $4,500.

The upside to the sell-out? The race will be shown on local TV in Indiana for just the third time in history, the first since the 1950’s… Where the live telecast is usually blacked out to try to increase ticket sales and attendance.
