The FDA will regulate more tobacco products with new rules for manufacturers of cigars, pipes and e-cigarettes.
FOX's Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
You'll soon have to be 18 to vape. The the feds have announced the FDA will regulate all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, hookah, cigars and pipe tobacco.
The decision is a blow to the growing e-cigarette business, which markets its products as an alternative to traditional cigarettes. Under the new rules, which go into effect in 90 days, all tobacco sellers will also have to display health warnings and will not be allowed to give out free samples.
The health effects of e-cigarettes have not been fully studied.
