Bowling Green and Former Offensive Lineman Cody Silk Reach $712,000 Concussion Settlement

A former college football player is getting a payout after suffering head injuries.

FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:

Cody Silk was an offensive lineman at Bowling Green until he suffered concussions in 2010 and he claims the coaches and medical staff did not pull him from practices and those concussions led to permanent brain injury.

He’s just worked out a $712,000 settlement with Bowling Green, even though the university in Ohio maintains it did nothing to injure him. Silk says he ultimately lost his football scholarship and dropped out of school.

By taking the settlement finalized this week, Silk agrees to not take any more legal action.
