Supreme Court Hearing a Case Trying to Unblock Executive Orders by President Obama Regarding Immigration
The Supreme Court is hearing a big case, as President Obama tries to unblock controversial executive orders on illegal immigrants.
FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:
The eight Justices on the Supreme Court are in the midst of hearing 90 minutes of oral arguments in involving the politically-charged issue of illegal immigration.
The case U.S. v. Texas will determine the Constitutionality of executive actions the President took in November 2014 that would allow about 4 million illegal immigrants to remain in the country and apply for work permits if they have been here at least five years and have not committed any crimes.
Opponents say the President lacks the legal authority to take such sweeping executive actions; supporters say he does.
