NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Heads to Bristol
Kyle Busch looking to making it three in a row at Bristol this Sunday at the Food City 500. Dale Earnhardt Jr. goes into the sandwich this weekend for charity and an iconic track is being sold.
FOX’s Marghiee Teshineh reports:
The NASCAR Sprint Cup goes to the concrete track at Bristol and Penske Racing’s Joey Logano says it’s fun to race there because:
(Logano) “Bristol is a beast of its own, you know if you look at it. You know, there’s huge banking, short straightaways, you’re in the corners fairly long, but it’s just fast.”
But Logano will have to deal with Kyle Busch, currently on a hot streak, having won the last two weeks in a row, but can he sweep at Bristol?
(Busch) “Yeah we’ve got good cars, but the crew chiefs are just doing a really good job right now. I think just being able to apply all the things we have learned over the couple of years.”
Rockingham Speedway will be getting a new owner, a note of foreclosure was filed in North Carolina superior court and it will be sold at a public auction May 5.
And this weekend, Bristol will offer the “Dale Jr. Sandwich.” The banana, mayonnaise sandwich on white bread will sell for $4, with $1 from every sandwich sold going to the Dale Jr. Foundation.
